Hi everyone. I’m taking a brief pause from publishing on Substack until the end of the calendar year. As written about in previous posts, I’m working on a longer form project and finding it harder to transition back and forth between that and the shorter posts here with the limited time I have to dedicate to writing. For paid subscribers, billing will be halted until I start back up. I am as certain that I will return to writing reguarly here as I am that I cannot do both in the short term. Til then…
I hope your well-deserved "pause" is fruitful. I'll be out in San Diego later this year for a Summit with the National Association of Nonpartisan Reformers (NANR - a/k/a "reform nerds unite.") We'd be honored to have the opportunity to engage with you. As a fellow USNA Grad / poli-sci major, I think we'd have a lot to discuss. And, our reforms will be coming to San Diego / California in the next 2-3 years. Thanks for all your great writing and good work.
Sean, look forward to having you back on this frequency - I count on your comments to help round out a lot of what's out there for consumption and assimilation in times like this, your analytic interpretations in particular. In the meantime keep the main thing the main thing and focus on what good looks like - no mean feat!!

You have our support and admiration for being aware of limits. Best of luck to the family and on your current project.

Not a problem - take your time. Good things seldom come easily.
